Looking for some year-round ultimate frisbee? You're in luck in Pictou County with a fantastic group called Pictou County ultimate (PCU).
Pictou County Ultimate (PCU) is a developing organization in Northern Nova Scotia. Since it began in 2014 PCU has grown from a stand along summer league to year round play. PCU now offers winter league at the Sobeys Sport Complex in Stellarton and spring/fall pick up at Parkdale Fields in New Glasgow for those 15+.
In March 2017 PCU hosted its first tournament, Surf n' Turf. A 4v4 continuous play style tournament with teams coming from both NS and NB. In addition since 2014 PCU has hosted a Northern NS High School Tournament, and since 2018 has focused on women's development in ultimate and teaching basic skills to all ages through a Learn To Play program. Learn To Play operates both in schools and through the community (Source HERE).
The indoor drop-in winter league runs every Tuesday from December 3rd through to April 28th, with a $10 drop-in fee, or $100 for the season ($70 for students).
You can connect with the league organizers via email HERE, or stay up-to-date on their Facebook page HERE
