Our province has been in a state of emergency for almost one month, and we can't thank the front line workers enough - from our talented healthcare providers in our hospital and clinics to environmental services, security, administrative personnel and their families - thank you.
We're also grateful for all of our first responders, and those working in essential services such as grocery stores, veterinary clinics, delivery persons, waste management and in other capacities to keep us safe and healthy during these uncertain times.
We've been finding ways to express our sincere gratitude to our front line workers, and you may have seen signs around town thanking our essential services - these were prepared in cooperation by Healthy Pictou County, our six municipal units and Pictou Landing First Nation, along with Advocate Creation Group and Advocate Printing. We also worked with Sobeys to prepare a delivery of non-perishable snacks for our hospital, coordinated with local printers and makers to provide ear savers for our clinics and hospital. We also worked to prepare this ad through the Pictou Advocate to encourage people to stay home.
Thank you to everyone working to keep us safe.
