Formed in fall of 2008, the Multicultural Association of Pictou County has been a welcomed group in our community, focused on the celebration of our diverse backgrounds, and communities.
The Multicultural Association of Pictou County is a volunteer-based, professional organization formed to serve people of diverse cultures living in Pictou County. As an Association, they are focused on enriching the cultural life in our local communities within Pictou County by encouraging and promoting all aspects of multiculturalism. Their goal is to promote multiculturalism and to serve as an important resource for newcomers through information and events, aiming to be the bridge that connects people of different cultures within Pictou County.
The group hosts a variety of incredible events year-round, including recently partnering with several community groups for a Winter Fun Day at Trenton Park, and have upcoming community socials planned. Their potlucks are an event not to be missed; trust us!
The group works to create a welcoming environment for those of all backgrounds, and a fun space to meet some new people, learn more about others, and make new friends.
